Gardner Aerospace-Impcross merger report sent to UK government by CMA

( March 2, 2020, 15:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A report on the competition aspects of Gardner Aerospace Holdings' proposed acquisition of Impcross has been delivered by the UK's antitrust regulator to the UK government's business department, which is scrutinizing the deal on national-security grounds. The Competition and Markets Authority invited comment on the deal after a public-interest intervention by the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy in December. The deal would see Chinese-owned Gardner combine with a UK manufacturer of parts for military aircraft. The CMA's report will be published once BEIS has taken a decision on whether the transaction goes, or will go, against the public interest, the regulator said in a statement today.Statement follows....
