EC Statement: Mergers - Commission approves acquisition of Swedish dairy company Skånemejerier AB by Lactalis

( May 11, 2012, 14:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission has approved French dairy company Lactalis' plans to acquire Swedish Skånemejerier. The regulator investigated the markets for dairy products with a focus on the supply of cream and the procurement of raw milk in Sweden and concluded that the transaction would not impede effective competition in the market as the deal would not significantly alter the market structure.
