FCC Republicans say small business ISPs are safe from net neutrality transparency requirements

( December 19, 2016, 21:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Federal Communications Commissioners Ajit Pai and Michael O'Rielly said in a letter Monday addressed to the heads of five trade groups representing Internet service providers that the FCC does not plan to take action against small business providers for noncompliance under the enhanced transparency requirements of the Net Neutrality Order following the Jan. 17 effective date. The commissioners told the heads of CTIA, NTCA, the American Cable Assoication, the Competitive Carriers Association and the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association that they have put forth a compromise to extend an exemption for small providers and hope to reach an agreement on the requirements as soon as possible. See document below. ...
