Sabre, Farelogix offer concessions in UK merger review, claim CMA made 'errors'

( February 28, 2020, 11:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Airline technology providers Sabre and Farelogix say the Competition and Markets Authority made "important errors" on jurisdiction and competition findings in its provisional decision earlier this month to block their planned merger. They have also proposed a "comprehensive" package of remedies to alleviate UK antitrust concerns over their planned merger. They focus on competition in the retailing of technology standards to allow the distribution of airfares through third parties. In a separate paper, American Airlines said it agrees with the CMA a block is the "only effective remedy" to concerns posed by the deal.The papers are attached....
