Court of Justice Statement: Judgment in C-58/08 Vodafone and Others [Roaming Regulation]

( June 8, 2010, 07:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Court of Justice of the EU has ruled that the European Commission was right to impose caps on the wholesale and retail prices charged by mobile operators for roaming calls abroad, in the interest of the internal market. The court confirmed the legal basis of the regulation under Article 95 of the EC treaty, which allows the commission to adopt legislation to approximate the laws of member states if disparities obstruct the functioning of the internal market.The full judgment can be found here....
