UK's Supreme Court to hear CMA appeal over Eurotunnel case in October

( September 2, 2015, 14:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK's Supreme Court will hear Competition and Markets Authority's appeal of a lower court's ruling in a case relating to Eurotunnel's acquisition of three SeaFrance's ships on Oct. 14 and 15. The court will assess whether or not Eurotunnel acquired an "enterprise" through the deal, and therefore whether or not the regulator had the power to review the transaction. An advocate to the court has been appointed to assist the court in examining some of the legal issues raised by the appeal, as the French workers' cooperative, Societe Cooperative de Production SeaFrance, that won in the appeals court is in liquidation.Full statement follows:...
