OECD issues report with recommendations to Mexican competition authority and telecom regulator
( February 14, 2020, 14:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development has issued a report on the performance of the Mexican competition authority and telecom regulator the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) with more than 50 recommendations. OECD recommended that the Federal Commission for Economic Competition, or Cofece, and IFT continue to deepen their local competition policies by strengthening technical independence, improving coordination between them and other public authorities, and developing guidelines that clarify new aspects of the competition law.See COFECE's press release and OECD's document below (in Spanish)....
