EU businesses using Google Analytics get another red flag over legality of data transfers

By Madelyn Orr ( July 3, 2023, 16:15 GMT | Insight) -- The legality of European companies' use of Google Analytics returned to the spotlight today with fines from Sweden's data protection authority and orders to stop using it. Telecom company Tele2 and online retailer CDON were fined for violating the GDPR by transferring personal data to the US. Tele2 said it will most likely appeal.
