Gildan, S&S modify agreement to close US FTC price-discrimination investigation
( October 8, 2026, 14:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Gildan Activewear SRL and major wholesale T-shirt distributor S&S Holdings have agreed to make changes to an agreement that prohibited Gildan from offering certain pricing and discounts given to S&S to S&S’s competitors as part of a settlement with the US Federal Trade Commission, the agency said in a release. The FTC investigated Gildan for potential violation of the Robinson-Patman Act, which prohibits sellers from engaging in certain price discrimination. The modified agreement provides that it does not restrain “Gildan’s discretion to set prices or offer partnership support to any other North American wholesale distributor.”Statement follows in full....
