MultiPlan spoliated execs' text messages in US antitrust litigation, plaintiffs say

( October 6, 2026, 21:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: MultiPlan's former chief executive and three other senior executives at the company have failed to preserve text message evidence for years due to auto-delete settings on their phones, according to a motion from plaintiffs pursuing antitrust litigation alleging collusion between MultiPlan and major US health insurers. "MultiPlan has never explained why these key witnesses destroyed text messages despite being under multiple court orders to preserve those text messages and receiving multiple instructions to preserve relevant data," the plaintiffs said in a motion filed in the Northern District of Illinois asking for "limited discovery into the circumstances of MultiPlan’s spoliation of text messages."See attached document....
