TWi's sanctions bid amounts to improper summary judgment request, US judge says
( September 9, 2026, 00:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A California federal judge denied TWi Pharmaceuticals' motion for sanctions against plaintiffs in US antitrust litigation over a settlement agreement between the manufacturer of protein pump inhibitor Dexilant and a generics manufacturer. In an order, US District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley said TWi’s motion "essentially (and improperly) asks the Court to grant summary judgment without having moved for summary judgment." Corley said TWi's motion "comes down to its belief" that the plaintiffs have no evidentiary basis whatsoever for its core allegation in the case. See court document. ...
