Malaysia moves against six firms over alleged food-supply bid rigging
( June 16, 2026, 14:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Malaysia’s competition watchdog on Tuesday issued a proposed decision against six companies over an alleged bid-rigging scheme linked to a 5.7 million ringgit ($1.3 million) food supply contract for the National Anti-Drugs Agency. The regulator said the firms may have coordinated their bids through information exchanges and tender-facilitation arrangements, with the object of significantly preventing, restricting or distorting competition in the supply of raw, fresh and dry food products. The findings are preliminary, and the companies will have 30 days to submit written representations before the Malaysia Competition Commission decides whether to impose penalties and other remedies.Statement follows....
