Higher UK retail fuel prices are mostly due to wholesale costs, CMA finds

Elevated wholesale prices explain most of the increase in pump prices in March and into April, the Competition and Markets Authority said. But the CMA said that effective competition remains a concern, and that it would examine whether improved supply conditions are reflected in lower retail prices over the coming weeks.Statement follows....
