Amazon privilege log 'insufficient,' US FTC says in antitrust case
( May 27, 2026, 16:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Amazon has narrowed or revised privilege claims for nearly half of 30 documents recently provided to a US federal judge for in camera review as part of the US Federal Trade Commission's pursuit of sanctions, the agency said in a joint status report filed in the Western District of Washington. "The fact that Amazon saw the need to volunteer an 'additional description' for all 30 documents subject to the Court’s review shows that Amazon’s privilege log is insufficient to support its claims," the FTC said. Amazon opposed a "sweeping" privilege log re-review, favoring instead "targeted resolution through the normal meet-and-confer process."See attached document....
