Apple asks US Supreme Court to stay App Store antitrust injunction mandate

( May 5, 2026, 03:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple asked the US Supreme Court to stay a mandate from the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to comply with an injunction as part of antitrust litigation brought by Epic Games over app distribution and billing. "A stay is now needed before Apple is forced to litigate its commission rate under an erroneous and prejudicial contempt label—in proceedings that could reshape the global app market—before this Court can consider whether to grant review," Apple said in an application to Justice Elena Kagan for a stay "pending the timely filing and disposition of Apple’s forthcoming petition for a writ of certiorari and any further proceedings in this Court."See attached document....
