Indonesia enforces antitrust fines on 11 businesses with attorney general's support

( April 28, 2026, 06:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Indonesian Business Competition Commission, or KPPU, said it has successfully enforced final antitrust decisions requiring non-compliant businesses to pay fines totaling 43.9 billion rupiah ($2.55 million), with support from the Attorney General’s Office. In a statement Tuesday, the regulator said the amount stems from 11 decisions issued between 2010 and 2018 involving 11 businesses. KPPU Deputy Chair Aru Armando said the effort demonstrates the “seriousness” of both institutions in enforcing rulings and recovering state funds, and serves as a reminder for businesses to comply with legally binding decisions.Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
