California department members seek dismissal of dairy antitrust claims

( April 21, 2026, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Members of the California Department of Food and Agriculture called a US antitrust case against them an untimely and misguided effort to bring an end to a dairy quota implementation program, moving to dismiss. They argued that farmers filed their claims too late, and even if they were timely, their grievance lies with the QIP itself and constitutes an impermissible effort to seek federal court review of an established state regulatory scheme.
