China, EU hold 28th competition policy week, pledge deeper antitrust cooperation

( March 31, 2026, 03:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s State Administration for Market Regulation and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition jointly held the 28th China-EU Competition Policy Week online from March 23 to 27, according to a statement released by the Chinese regulator on Monday. Officials discussed China’s fair-competition review system, the EU’s state-aid control regime, competition assessments, antitrust enforcement in the digital economy and merger review practices during the week. Both sides said they would deepen cooperation and exchanges in antitrust enforcement to safeguard fair market competition and support continued development of bilateral economic and trade ties.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
