Tokushima Toyota gets corrective recommendation for breaching Japan Subcontract Act

( March 26, 2026, 07:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Tokushima Toyota, a Toyota automobile dealer based in western Japan, received on Thursday a corrective recommendation for violating the Subcontract Act. The Japan Fair Trade Commission said the company required six repair subcontractors to provide unpaid transport services for vehicles and auto parts, totaling 2,728 vehicle deliveries and 540 parts deliveries. The conduct, which occurred approximately between July 2024 and September 2025, constituted a request for unfair economic benefits under the law, the watchdog said.
