Indonesian domestic airlines face new probe over alleged ticket price fixing

( March 10, 2026, 08:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, has opened a preliminary investigation into alleged ticket price fixing by domestic airlines following a sustained upward price trend over the past two years. In a statement on Monday, the antitrust regulator said the move follows monitoring of compliance with a 2019 KPPU decision that found several airlines guilty of price-fixing in domestic economy-class services, a ruling that became legally binding in September 2023. After overseeing implementation of the decision through September 2025, the regulator said it detected continued price increases and decided to launch a new probe.Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
