US Sen. Klobuchar to introduce bill on antitrust settlement review

The agency's settlement does not remedy failures within its previous agreements with Live Nation, which failed because they did not change the company's incentives to enrich itself over fans, artists, and venues, Klobuchar said, calling the settlement "more of the same." The DOJ settled its monopolization claims against Live Nation less than a month after ousting former DOJ antitrust chief Gail Slater, and did so amidst warnings of backroom dealings where "Live Nation was circumventing antitrust enforcers to cut a deal," Klobuchar said.Statement follows below: ...
