WiseTech Global to divest logistics software company following Australian probe

( January 5, 2026, 08:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australian company WiseTech Global and its subsidiary BluJay Solutions have committed to divesting Expedient, a logistics software business, following a probe into a merger law breach. In a statement on Monday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said WiseTech acquired Expedient through its August 2025 acquisition of e2open Parent Holdings, completing the transaction before the regulator had finished its review despite being aware of significant competition concerns. The statement said that following completion of the acquisition, the watchdog launched an enforcement investigation to assess whether the deal had breached merger laws by substantially reducing competition. The regulator said WiseTech provided a court-enforceable undertaking on Dec. 30, 2025, which addresses the ACCC's competition concerns.Statement follows:...
