Japan's Sugimoto Electric hit with corrective action for Subcontract Act violation

( December 11, 2025, 09:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Japanese electric materials wholesaler Sugimoto Electric received a corrective recommendation on Thursday for violating the Subcontract Act. According to the Japan Fair Trade Commission, the Kawasaki-based company deducted a total of 24.7 million yen ($158,000) from payments it had agreed upon with nine subcontractors. It also unfairly returned cables and other items produced by four subcontractors.
