Epic agrees to dismiss claims against Google in follow-on US case

( December 5, 2025, 20:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Epic Games said it agreed to dismiss all of its claims against Google in a follow-on case to its initial litigation targeting Google's app store, Google Play. Epic sued both Google and Samsung last September, alleging they conspired to preserve Google’s monopoly in the Android app distribution market. The new lawsuit focused heavily on Samsung’s Auto Blocker feature, which Epic characterized as a default setting on all new Samsung phones that “blocks all user attempts to download and install Android apps from any source that competes” with the Play store. Epic later agreed to dismiss its Auto Blocker-related allegations against Samsung following a settlement, but had continued to pursue trade libel and tortious interference claims against Google. See stipulation of dismissal. ...
