Samsung, BMW among companies joining China market regulator's fair-competition roundtable

At the meeting — the regulator’s fifth such session this year — Meng Yang, vice minister of the State Administration for Market Regulation, outlined efforts to strengthen antitrust enforcement, expand institutional opening in competition policy and improve governance of fair competition. He said the regulator will step up antitrust enforcement in key sectors, tighten reviews of fair-competition compliance and merger control, and remove obstacles to building a unified national market.
