RealPage settles with DOJ, agrees to stop sharing nonpublic pricing data

( November 24, 2025, 22:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: RealPage has agreed to stop using competitors’ nonpublic, competitively sensitive information to determine rental prices in runtime operation and to stop using active lease data for purposes of training the models underlying the software as part of a settlement with the US Department of Justice. The agreement resolves claims alleging algorithmic coordination, information sharing, and other anticompetitive practices in rental housing markets across the US. “Competing companies must make independent pricing decisions, and with the rise of algorithmic and artificial intelligence tools, we will remain at the forefront of vigorous antitrust enforcement,” Assistant Attorney General Abigail Slater said.Statement follows in full.
