Fashion houses fined total of €157 million for resale price maintenance

( October 14, 2025, 09:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Fashion houses Gucci, Chloé and Loewe have been fined 157 million euros for placing restrictions on their retailers, including imposing resale prices, capping discounts and fixing the periods during which sales could take place. The European Commission said the sanction should "send a strong signal against retail price maintenance practices for sales online and in brick-and-mortar shops" to the fashion industry. All three companies cooperated with the investigation, with both Gucci and Loewe securing a 50 percent reduction in their fines.The press release follows.
