Wabtec seeks dismissal of US antitrust claims over freight locomotives

( September 12, 2025, 20:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies asked a Delaware federal judge to dismiss amended antitrust claims brought Progress Rail Services challening Wabtec's acquisition of General Electric Transportation. "Progress yet again seeks to turn what are, at most, contract disputes into an antitrust lawsuit," Wabtec said in a brief supporting its motion to dismiss in the District of Delaware. The plaintiff's new allegations of anticompetitive information sharing, delayed provision of equipment and lack of advanced notice for changes to so-called Postitive Train Control systems "do not come remotely close to supporting an antitrust claim," the brief said.See attached documents....
