South Korea hosts high-level competition meeting with ASEAN, CIS nations

( September 2, 2025, 07:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: South Korea’s competition regulator today held a meeting with competition authorities from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as Azerbaijan and Mongolia to discuss recent competition-enforcement trends and share experiences in promoting competition advocacy, the agency said. The biennial meeting brings together high-level officials of competition agencies from Southeast Asian countries and other parts of Asia. The Korea Fair Trade Commission said the gathering is aimed at strengthening its network with competition authorities in the region for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the Commonwealth of Independent States, or CIS, while reinforcing its role as a leading competition regulator in the region.
