Aldi suppliers face court action over price-fixing conduct in Australia

In a statement today, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said it is alleging that four suppliers and three senior executives engaged in price-fixing conduct involving some “essential household vegetables” across three states — New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. The statement added that the alleged cartel arrangements covered the supply of broccoli, cauliflower, iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, Brussels sprouts and zucchini to Aldi stores between 2018 and 2024.
