Mars Entertainment, CJ ENM settle Turkish dominance-abuse probe

( August 29, 2025, 07:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Turkish cinema operator Mars Entertainment and CJ ENM Medya Film Yapım ve Dağıtım — the Turkish arm of a South Korean entertainment group — have reached a settlement with the Turkish competition authority. This ends a probe it opened last year over dominance-abuse concerns in the movie-screening market. Under various commitments aimed at easing antitrust concerns, the total seat capacity to be allocated by Mars to films distributed by CGV Mars will be initially limited to a maximum 20 percent, the watchdog said today. The obligations will also ensure the availability of movies distributed by third parties and maintain the separate structure between Mars and CJ ENM.Statement follows. ...
