( August 22, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple flouted a US court ordered injunction “at every step” by choosing “to maintain its anticompetitive revenue stream over compliance,” Spotify told an appeals court. Spotify filed a brief in support of affirming a prohibition against Apple charging any commission or fee for any web or out-of-app transactions. “Although Apple’s response to the injunction (the “Apple Plan”) nominally allowed app developers to include within their apps links to external purchase mechanisms, it imposed restrictions on the use of those links to ensure that they could never be a viable alternative to [in-app purchase payment mechanism],” it argued.See attached file. ...
