NCAA opposes injunction request by Wisconsin athlete in US antitrust case

( August 21, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The National Collegiate Athletic Association told a US federal judge that Nyzier Fourqurean’s untimely decision to move again for a preliminary injunction is pure gamesmanship, precluded by the Seventh Circuit. Fourqurean is seeking to stop the NCAA from enforcing its five-year-rule, which relates to the number of years college football players can play Division I NCAA football after transferring to a Division I school. “He brazenly seeks to have the court enter another preliminary injunction granting him the same relief he sought (and temporarily obtained) on a record that has done nothing to rectify the deficiencies in his position on the merits of his antitrust claim identified by the Seventh Circuit when it reversed the prior injunction,” the NCAA said.See attached file. ...
