Apple files reply for dismissing Pure Sweat Basketball's US monopolization claims

( August 20, 2025, 23:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple told a US judge that Pure Sweat Basketball is "running away" its own monopolization claims in its arguments opposing Apple's motion to dismiss, admitting that an injunction in a related case cannot be the root for its claims, as it is unenforceable by Pure Sweat. The plaintiff tries to disclaim any intent to enforce obedience with the injunction in the wake of a federal court ruling foreclosing it from doing so, but its claims arise from Apple's alleged defiance of the injunction in the first place, Apple's reply in support of its motion to dismiss filed to the Northern District of California said. Pure Sweat bootstraps new "general duties" claims based on the same injunction, but that cannot circumvent its inability to enforce it, Apple said.See attached document....
