US FTC closes antitrust investigation into 'Clean Truck Partnership'

( August 12, 2025, 22:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Trade Commission closed its investigation into whether several truck and engine manufacturers and their trade association violated antitrust laws by entering the “Clean Truck Partnership” with the California Air Resources Board. The FTC said it has determined that written commitments made by the manufacturers to the agency, backed by reporting and disclosure obligations, have accomplished the objectives of the investigation. The FTC said it has closed its investigation into the OEMs and its decision is not to be construed as a determination that a violation did not occur. The FTC retains authority to take such further action as the public interest may require.Statement follows. See attached documents...
