RWJ Barnabas defends motion for judgment against Carepoint trust's US claims

( August 8, 2025, 16:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: RWJ Barnabas defended its motion for judgment on Carepoint's litigation trust's US antitrust claims, which allege Carepoint's bankruptcy was the result of an anticompetitive scheme orchestrated by Barnabas. The defendant told a federal judge that governing precedent from the US Appeals Court for the First Circuit of Appeals barring "a conflicted trust from pursuing claims under the in pari delicto dotrine, is dispositive," the reply supporting summary judgment filed to the District of New Jersey said.
