US DOJ points Google case judge to appeals court's ruling for Epic Games

( August 4, 2025, 20:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice filed a notice of supplemental authority in its Internet search monopoly lawsuit against Google, pointing to the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit's unanimous opinion in Epic Games' app store monopoly case against Google. In upholding an injunction against Google in full, the opinion addresses a variety of topics, including the district court’s broad discretion to craft an injunction; the particular characteristics of digital markets; the permissibility of forward-looking remedies; and intellectual-property and security interests, the DOJ said in its filing to the US District Court for the District of Columbia.See attached file....
