Google moves to dismiss Rumble's second amended US adtech monopoly complaint

( August 1, 2025, 23:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google moved to dismiss Rumble's second amended US adtech monopolization complaint, arguing Rumble has failed to remedy implausibly pleaded product markets and establish antitrust standing, issues that were present "two motions to dismiss ago," it said. "Rumble cannot shoehorn its grievances against Google into this series of ad tech cases, which are about products that Rumble does not use and alleged markets Rumble does not participate in," Google said in its motion to dismiss filed to the New York federal court. Rumble gerrymanders its alleged adtech market to exclude video advertisements and user-generated platforms, which are integral to its business, and the plaintiff never claims to have used most of the adtech tools it puts at issue in its complaint, Google said.
