Opera files antitrust complaint over Microsoft's Edge in Brazil

( July 29, 2025, 21:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Web browser developer Opera has filed an official complaint against Microsoft with Brazil’s competition authority. The plaintiff says that Microsoft leverages its dominant position in the operating system to give an "unfair advantage" to its own browser, Edge. Opera is asking for remedies that would stop preventing PC manufacturers from preloading browsers other than Edge, and stop Microsoft from blocking consumers from easily downloading and using other browsers.See attached file....
