Trump emergency motion for stay on Slaughter’s reinstatement to FTC granted by US court

( July 22, 2025, 12:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Rebecca Kelly Slaughter's court-ordered reinstatement to the Federal Trade Commission has been stayed by the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, which granted an emergency motion to stay filed by US President Donald Trump and co-defendants at the FTC. “The purpose of this administrative stay is to give the court sufficient opportunity to consider the motion for a stay pending appeal and should not be construed in any way as a ruling on the merits of that motion,” the appeals court said in an order issued hours after the emergency motion was filed.See attached document.
