BMW ends Swiss probe over relative market power

( July 10, 2025, 07:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Carmaker BMW has resolved an investigation by the Swiss competition authority into whether it abused its "relative market power" over a particular garage, after offering the garage a temporary extension of their business relationship. This move allowed BMW to address antitrust concerns, WEKO said today. The probe — opened last year — examined whether BMW had coerced the garage to make significant investments before suddenly terminating their partnership without adequate transitional measures. The garage had operated as an authorized dealer and service center for BMW and Mini-branded vehicles for several decades.Statement follows (in German). ...
