Amazon urges EU judges to scrap 'arbitrary' Digital Services Act designation (update*)

The European Commission, which issued the VLOP designation in 2023, countered at the EU General Court this morning that Amazon Store has a reach large enough to mandate the highest DSA obligations.Amazon told EU judges today that it was wrongly classed as a "very large online platform," or VLOP, under the EU’s Digital Services Act and should see the designation scrapped....
