BiT Global, Coinbase stipulate to dismissal of US antitrust suit

( June 7, 2025, 00:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: BiT Global and Coinbase agreed to have their antitrust dispute dismissed by a California federal court, according to a joint stipulation filed today. BiT Global filed the lawsuit last year accusing cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase of using its position as a market leader “to replace cryptocurrencies created by others with its own knock-off versions.” At a hearing in May, US District Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín of the Northern District of California expressed concerns about several aspects of BiT Global’s lawsuit, including the alleged market definition, and questioned whether the plaintiff should be allowed to amend the complaint.See attached filing....
