Panini moves to partially dismiss Fanatics' second amended US complaint

( June 7, 2025, 00:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Panini has filed a motion to dismiss Fanatics Collectibles' second amended complaint. In a memorandum to support its motion, Panini said it had sued Fanatics for monopolizing the markets for sports trading cards through exclusive deals of unprecedented length and scope. "Fanatics retaliated against Panini’s claims by filing this lawsuit," Panini said. Panini urged a New York federal court to "reject Fanatics’ continued efforts to hijack this case with press releases dressed up as conclusory legal claims that fail for multiple independent reasons." Having now attempted three times to state a claim against Panini, "each of Fanatics’ new claims should be dismissed with prejudice," Panini said.See attached memorandum....
