Daily Mail seeks limits on Google deposition in US DOJ adtech trial

( June 6, 2025, 22:18 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Daily Mail asked a Virginia federal judge to prohibit Google from raising matters unrelated to remedies proceedings in US Department of Justice-led adtech monopolization litigation during Google's deposition of Daily Mail Chief Digital Officer Matthew Wheatland. "Google may be tempted to go further because of the other pending litigation between the parties," the Daily Mail said in a memo supporting a motion for a protective order filed in the Eastern District of Virginia. "But fact discovery in the New York case is closed," the memo said, referring to a separate class action antitrust litigation over similar issues.See attached files....
