DPPs defend expert's damages estimate in post-trial brief for CRT case

( June 5, 2025, 01:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Direct purchaser plaintiffs, or DPPs, filed their post-trial brief and proposed findings of fact and conclusions following a hearing over the amount of damages Irico should pay for its involvement in an alleged scheme to fix prices of cathode ray tubes, or CRTs. In their post-trial brief, the DPPs wrote that the hearing confirmed that the $1.011 billion damages estimate by their expert, Phillip Johnson, is "sound." The DPPs further asserted that Johnson's "methodology utilizes the well-established 'before and after' method, analyzes all available data, produces statistically significant estimates of class wide overcharges, and relies on an accurate estimation of class purchases." See court documents. ...
