Stellantis Korea hit with sanctions in South Korea for abusing dealer relationships

According to the Korea Fair Trade Commission, the US-owned automotive importer, which sells Jeep and Peugeot vehicles, violated fair agency law by requiring prior approval for dealer hiring decisions, demanding confidential profit and pricing information and restricting dealers' showroom operations and territorial sales activities. Deeming the practices as an abuse of superior bargaining position, the regulator issued corrective orders, prohibition orders and notification orders to prevent future violations.The statement, in Korean, is attached....
