( May 29, 2025, 20:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google can’t claim that the proposed remedies against it in a US search monopolization case are not “workable” without producing relevant documents prepared by business employees who operate Google’s ad tech products to the court, according to the Department of Justice and state plaintiffs. “[T]o the extent Google’s lawyers have asked their business employees to consider the factual feasibility of the divestiture sought in the complaint itself, the underlying factual analyses that those business employees produced would not reveal anything about the substance of legal opinions held by Google’s counsel on the subject, and Google has not met its burden to show that it would,” they said.
