Google-targeted Play Store suits to see combined UK trial next year, CAT rules

( April 30, 2025, 13:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Three lawsuits targeting Google over its Play Store fees will be combined for a single trial to be heard in October 2026, the Competition Appeal Tribunal has ruled. Last month, the CAT convened a joint case-management conference for three cases: consumer champion Liz Coll's mass claim; a separate but related mass claim against Google led by academic Barry Rodger focused on alleged harm to app developers; and a private claim against Google from Epic Games, also over the fees.
