OptumRx asks US judge to compel arbitration of pharmacies' US antitrust claims

( April 25, 2025, 20:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: OptumRx told a US judge that a proposed plaintiff class of pharmacies' US antitrust claims alleging an unlawful tying arrangement should not proceed in court because the pharmacies had contracts with OptumRx requiring individual arbitration of "any and all" disputes between the parties. The contracts are explicit that class actions are not permitted, which the plaintiffs have ignored, OptumRx's motion to compel individual arbitration filed in the Western District of Washington said. "Plaintiffs accepted significant compensation for years from OptumRx under their contracts... and now rely on the contracts' terms to seek additional reimbursements in this lawsuit," it said.See attached file....
